Awards Dinner

Each year the Council recognizes some of the area's most distinguished entrepreneurs. These awards honor Frederick County residents or owners of Frederick County companies whose ingenuity, hard work and perseverance have created and sustained viable business ventures that contribute to the economic well being of our community. Awards are presented for both emerging (1-5 years) and established (5+ years) businesses.  The Council also honors select individuals for business longevity (20+ years) and community participation with a Master Entrepreneur Award.

The 2010 Entrepreneur Council of Frederick County Awards Dinner will be held Mid-June.  There will be a social mixer from 5:30 to 7:00 with dinner and presentations beginning at 7:00. Cost is $65 per person or a group table of 8 is $500.

CEO Roundtables

The Council's CEO and Executive roundtables are a healthy way for business leaders to share insights. When obstacles seem overwhelming, input from peers adds a new perspective, along with creative problem solving and support. Participants are carefully grouped to represent a mix of non-competing businesses with enough in common to relate to the issues under discussion.  Members get together once a month. A professional facilitator guides discussions.  The group sets its own agenda and all shared information is held strictly confidential. New groups are formed as needed.

Topics may include: Managing growth and change; Finding the right people for the job; Benchmarking internal growth; Creating customer value; Turning industry challenges into benefits; Adapting from "doing" to "managing."

In March and October of each year, the Entrepreneur Council brings together regional investors, lenders, and companies seeking financing. Five companies are selected to present at each forum.
